Excerpt from Episode
“The sense of complete insecurity, not knowing if someone's going to rob you, if the police are going to bother you, like if it's going to rain on you, like the uncertainty while you're homeless makes life very stressful. And at the same time, you have to learn how to manage your emotions because the indifference of society around you can generate some kind of anger, rage, hate, and other things if not controlled properly. So, managing one's emotions when you're really being tested and pushed to the limits uh can make or break you. In my case, I would say it made me a better person. Uh I'm much humbler than I was going into it. and the way I deal with life is much different. So I would say becoming homeless made me a better person and ultimately my contribution to society is is better because of it.” - Andrew Funk
